The Issues

The top issue for 2008 and 2009 will be managing our way through this economic downturn. As things begin to improve I will work to:

Improve Education funding by:

Updating the outdated formula that no longer meets the needs of our children.

Develop a diverse economic base by:

Investing in R&D tax credits; incentives for solar manufacturing and generating projects; reducing the business property tax as part of updating the tax structure for fairness and simplicity.

Create the infrastructure necessary for sustainable growth by:

Investing in transportation, the technology sector, renewable energy, and protections for clean air and water so that everyone can enjoy a safe and prosperous Arizona.
